Hi,
It was another cold day in L.A. yesterday. There was shopping, dining, napping and an art marathon in the kitchen.
"Well, __ __, is something shocking when your feet just can't keep still. I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will." Hint: The song is about a dance and memories. The singer is a flamboyant performer who now resides in Vegas, but started across the pond.
We spent the morning getting some of the things we need to take back to Chiang Rai. Most of what we need are vitamins that are free of certain food allergens. When we finished parking in one big lot, it struck me that we probably wouldn't have to worry about anybody double-parking behind us in the aisle, which can happen in Chiang Rai at Central Plaza on a busy day.
It was shocking to drive by Marina Market, only to find that they were gone. For years it was our source of fresh fruits and vegetables. We usually have fresh fruit at the end of every meal at home. I guess we'll have to go to one of the big grocery stores. Having old landmarks go away and new ones spring up can really change the way you move about town. Some corners have been completely transformed. Hmm.
Thai Boom was our destination for lunch. With the help of one of the servers we had a nice visit with Suni, the owner. She still talks about visiting our house a few years ago. She invited us to visit her property west of Bangkok when she returns to Thailand in March. When we asked for the bill, all we got was fortune cookies. Nice.
While I was having coffee with a friend, the kitchen in our little apartment became an art workshop. Lisa, Anna and August worked with oil pastels, and acrylic paint.
Today's photo is from Christmas morning, sitting by the tree with C-Bass (next to Lisa) and August.
Have a Thrilling Thursday.
Peace,
Danny
are those when I'm not thinking about myself."
