Hi,
Today was a day for a doggie bath, drilling holes, and a visit from friends. It was a laid back day on the compound and that was just fine.
A couple of you figured out the song and that was good. There were also some guesses and that's good to. At least you're making a stab at it. I think today's lyric will really make it clear as to what the song is and even if you just get the song, cool.
"__ __ makes me feel fine, blowing through the jasmine in my mind..." Hint: Less than wind during the warm part of the year. There was a notable R&B cover of this song that some of you may remember.
Lisa and Boot gave BamBam her medicated bath today. Afterwards she had to wear her collar until she was dry. She didn't like that since she's been running free for four days. Have to remember that she's a dog. Hmm. It seems that since she's gotten better she's more mellow. She comes upstairs and like to hang out with us. Also, she may be finally learning that it's not Ok to bite. Playful bites, but bites just the same and it's not something to encourage. It's hard to believe that she's seven months old. Seems like she's been with us for a long time.
Drilling holes is a reference to hanging pictures. Three more went up in the bedroom today and it's starting to look fuller and lived in.
This afternoon I fooled around with a new sprinkler we got at Big C. There isn't a uniform size for faucets, connections or hoses so it takes a bit of doing to match this with that and make it work. I'll be scouring the hardware stores to find the proper adapters to make it easier to change connections of various things. There's a lot of green space that needs water, now that the rainy season is over. Speaking of rain, we may get a bit this week if one can believe the forecasters.
Tay and her friend Tam came by for a visit late this afternoon. We had a good time talking about many things. We also learned a bunch of new words since they speak English and like to teach us Thai. When Tam saw Lisa's latest 'Dancer' painting he immediately recognized the style of the costume as being from southern Thailand. Then we learned that there are two different words for dancing. One for traditional and one for popular. So much to learn.
Time for another Happy Tuesday.
Peace,
Danny
