The weather is the same as it ever was, hot and smokey. From Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai there was a constant haze. Someday soon there’s gonna be a showdown. My prediction.
The ‘Zany Day’ song was “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry. A lot of readers knew this one. For ‘Old School Friday’ try this one: “I wonder, wonder who, oouu who, __ __ __ __ __ __? Tell me, tell me, tell me, oh __ __ __ __ __ __? I’ve got to know the answer, was it someone from above? I wonder, wonder who, be-do-do who, __ __ __ __ __ __? Hint: R&B tune asking the musical question about the author of the guide to a successful romance.
This morning we drove to Chiang Mai. We made the usual stop for breakfast and pie. The construction zone is still there and the road is still horrible, but it’s just a small segment of the drive. Before we went to the convention hotel we stopped at Rimping Market for some snacks. It’s hard shopping for munchie stuff on our diet, but we found a few things.
Today’s photo was taken at Rimping, at a special exhibit of large fruit from Japan. I’m standing with the biggest apples I’ve ever seen. They also had giant strawberries and melons.
Once we got settled at the hotel it was a giant meet and greet for most of the afternoon. I saw lots of friends I haven’t seen in a few years, and met some new ‘friends’ that I only knew from Facebook. It was nice to support two of my friends who spoke this afternoon and evening. I have been asked to share tomorrow afternoon at the main meeting.
Have a Wonderful WeekEnd. Time for the ‘Funnies’.
Peace,
Danny
