Seeds

Hi,

Today was a very gloomy looking day outside.  The sky was hazy/murky as if it was going to rain, but there were no clouds.  We had tea amongst the trees on a little outing with friends.

The 'Easy Monday' song has been answered by a few already.  Here is more of the song.  I hope you get it.
"__ singing in the dead of night, take these sunken eyes and learn to see.  All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to be free.  __ fly, __ fly, into the light of the dark black night."  Hint: Acoustic guitar and a solo voice.  A far cry from holding one's hand or a meter maid.  I'll explain tomorrow.

This morning we picked up our friends Brenda and Eric and went to Chivit Thamma Da for tea.  They had never been there so it was a special time taking in the atmosphere.  A table for five under a giant tree by the river was perfect.  The morning coolness was lingering so it was very comfortable.

Cat returned from her village early.  All of the 11th graders have to retake their math final due to a mistake in the time they were given to take the test.  Next week she will get her chance to spend a week with her sister and her friends.

The weather forecasts keep saying things like 'hazy' to describe the sky, but we know what it is.  It's a result of the burning and the lack of wind.  In some parts of the world it's called smog.  That's what we had to deal with today.  Some days are better than others and we realize it's a seasonal thing.  The key is to recycle the air in the van and run the air filter in the house.  This evening Blue and I watched as the big red sun disappeared into the 'haze' way before it set.  It was so eerie to see it vanish before our eyes.  Hmm.

Today's photo was taken a few days ago while sitting at one of the long traffic lights.  Lisa's sharp eye caught the image and I caught the shot before the light changed.

The 'Pink Bridge' near our house is still under expansion.  We finally figured out what they're doing.  They have added another lane so each direction will have room for cars in addition to a motorbike lane.  This will be great for the flow of traffic.  The only problem is, this extra wide bridge will then funnel down to a two-lane road, which means that the motorbike will have to merge into the flow of cars.  Drivers here are not big on merging so we'll just have to wait and see how well this works.  Through it all, the guy who sells chicken at the base of the bridge has stuck it out.  We call it 'Dusty Chicken' due to all of the construction dust in the air.  He still has his loyal customers.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

              Peace,
                        Danny

by the harvest you reap,
but by the seeds you plant."
